CHRISTMAS TREE PICK-UP. The New Maryland Scouts group is working with the Village staff to run the Christmas Tree Recycling Pick-Up on Saturday, January 11th. The tree pickup will operate within Village limits and is a service provided to all residents. Although donations are accepted and appreciated, there is no set charge for this service. Simply have your tree at your curb by 9 am on the morning of January 11th and we’ll pick it up.
All trees collected are used by the Village in community projects such as mulch for village parks, etc. We understand there are other drop off options for those who wish to recycle their tree through other worthy causes. The choice is yours and we encourage you to choose an option that will result in the tree being put to good use rather than being discarded as waste.
If you wish to make a donation in support of our local 1st New Maryland Scouts group, the easiest way is via e-Transfer to 1stnewmaryland@gmail.com. If you’d prefer a different option, please feel free to send me a PM and I can make arrangement to collect your donation either on the day of the pickup or at some time after. We do not knock on every door unless requested to do so.
