December 18, 2023FRIENDLY REMINDER TO REGISTER YOUR DOG(s)!
Dog licenses are mandatory in New Brunswick. Why? Because licenses help keep pets and the communities they live in safe. As of January 01, 2024, residents of New Maryland are encouraged to register their dog(s) in DocuPet. It also offers a great amount of comfort to pet owners who travel with their pets. DocuPet tags are traceable through the DocuPet site from anywhere in North America. DocuPet also sends reminders to pet owners when it is time to renew.
The current pricing in DocuPet is $15.00 for one year, $25,00 for two years and $35.00 for three years. These amounts are per the Provincial Dog Regulation under the Local Government Act.
Please note that dog licenses are no longer available for purchase at the Village Office. Your registrations can be completed via online DocuPet at https://spca-nb.docupet.com/en_CA/ or by visiting the SPCA at 165 Hilton Road, Fredericton, NB E3B 6B1. Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the NBSPCA at 506-458-8208 ext. 204 or the Village office at 506-451-8508.
