FREDERICTON (GNB) – A new urgent treatment centre has opened in Fredericton, giving patients more options for non-life-threatening medical needs and improving access to primary care. “Partners across the health-care system are working to ensure that patients have access to the primary care they need,” said Health Minister
Alert Ready, the national emergency alert system, will be tested on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at 10:55 a.m. The system is designed to deliver critical and potentially life-saving alerts. The test will take place on television, radio and wireless devices. Alert Ready is Canada’s emergency alerting system. Alert Ready

The provincial government and the New Brunswick Emergency Measures Organization have designated Nov. 6-12 as Storm Preparedness Week, which is also recognized by their partners at NB Power, Saint John Energy, Edmundston Energy and the Canadian Red Cross.
