Summer Day Camps July 2nd to August 30th, 2024

Plans are now finalized for our 2024 New Maryland Day Camps. Again this year, we will be offering a full Day Camp program, which includes Thursday Day Trips, several new themes, returning favourites, and weekly day trip excursions. Your child will be greeted by friendly staff and will be fully engaged throughout the day with daily crafts and hands-on activities, group games, lots of indoor and outdoor play, and themed dress-up days. Embracing the High 5 principles of play, your child will enjoy lots of personalized attention and nurture friendships at our camps.

With the later school year, camp will start one week later than usual, BUT this means your kids will have the option to attend camp right up until school begins, with Week Nine concluding on August 30^th.

PARENTS! This year we are offering our 2024 Day Camps at 2023 prices! We hope this gives parents a bit of financial relief in these economically challenging times.

A full camp registration will be 36 campers per week. Weeks 1 through 6 will be held at the New Maryland Elementary School and Weeks 7 – 9 will be held at the New Maryland Centre. Roma returns as our supervisor this summer, planning is well underway, and we are getting excited for this year’s day camp adventures.

 Camp Hours:

Planned Activities run from Monday – Friday, from 9:00 am–4:00 pm daily
Drop-off begins at 7:45 am and pick-up is available until 5:30 pm.

Supervision before 7:45 am or after 5:30 pm will be charged an additional $15 per incident (arrangements must be made in advance and are payable that day).

Program Fees & Registration Information

• “Early Bird” Day Camp Fees: $160/week for 5-day camps; $130 for Week 1; $140 for Week 6 (for registration prior to June 28^th; after June 28^th, weekly fees increase by $20)
• Day camp fee includes a camper T-shirt; one per child, and day trip admissions/transportation.
• Our “older kids” camp will be offered from (August 6-9) Ages 10-13 only.
• There is no limit on the number of weeks you can register for again this year.
• Payment is due in full upon registration.

Registration Dates:

• Monday, May 13th – Village residents (from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm via e-mail to our daycampsupervisor@vonm.ca

Payments will be accepted via e-transfer or at the Village Office (cash, cheque or debit).

• Tuesday, May 14th – OPEN registration (from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm via e-mail to our daycampsupervisor@vonm.ca

Please note: after May 14^th, registration CONTINUES daily until camps are full.

Babysitter Course August 21, 2024

Due to popular demand, we have scheduled an additional Babysitter Course this summer, which will be held on Wednesday, August 21st at Victoria Hall.  Cost is $60 per child and the registration form can be filled out online and e-mailed to registration form can be filled out online and e-mailed to michelle.sawler@vonm.ca who will contact you regarding payment options including e-transfer. Course is limited to 20 participants.

Stay Safe Course (November 24, 2023)

Our next Stay Safe course will be offered on Friday, November 24^th at Victoria Hall. Cost is $55 and the registration form is available here. See poster for details.
