The Municipal Plan is the official plan for the Village of New Maryland under the New Brunswick Community Planning Act.
It contains objectives and policies to manage New Maryland’s growth, guide future land use, protect the natural environment and is used to guide Council and Village Residents with day to day decisions affecting development.
The Plan has been developed for a long term outlook, but is reviewed every five years with periodic amendments added to the document.
The Plan has been designed with the New Maryland Community Outlook:
The Village of New Maryland should be a healthy, vibrant community offering residents a pleasant living environment with a high quality of life. It should remain essentially a residential community with accessible, well-connected residential developments, and neighbourhood scale facilities, services and amenities.
