Municipality Celebrates Ribbon-Cutting for Sunrise Wellfield Development Project

On Friday, 29 May 2026, the Village of New Maryland celebrated the official ribbon-cutting of the Sunrise Wellfield Development Project. The federal, provincial and municipal governments invested over $20 million in this major infrastructure project that will strengthen long-term water security and support future growth for the community.

The Village of New Maryland has a population of approximately 4,500 and is located on the southern border of Fredericton, New Brunswick’s Capital City. We have been incorporated since 1991.
