Status: 7 Atkinson Lane – Requested Zoning By-law Amendment No. 04-01-2024

The applicant has requested that the subject parcel be re-zoned from Residential Zone Two to a Residential Main Street Zone to accommodate the future development of a 2 (two)-storey, 10 (ten)-unit stacked townhouse building.

Via internal review, the public consultation process, and results and recommendations from a traffic study, the proposed building and site designs captioned above have been amended by the applicant accordingly.

On the evening of Wednesday, September 18, 2024, Village Council conducted First and Second Readings of the requested Zoning By-law Amendment No. 04-01-2024.

In consideration of the housing diversity goals and objectives outlined in the Village’s Municipal Plan, Strategic Plan and Age-Friendly Community Action Plan, Council approved Third and Final Readings to re-zone the property to a residential main street zone at their October 16, 2024 regular meeting.

The Applicant has indicated their desire to proceed with development of the site as soon as possible.
