In recognition of Firefighters’ National Memorial Day, the Village of New Maryland will lower flags at our municipal sites to half-mast at sunset on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Flags will remain at half-mast throughout Sunday, September 14, and will be raised again at sunset on Sunday, September 14.
This national day honours the courage and sacrifice of firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty while protecting their communities.
We stand in solemn remembrance alongside communities across New Brunswick and Canada. – mk
