Help Keep Our Streets & Storm Drains Clear!

The Village of New Maryland would like to remind residents to help keep our stormwater system working properly.

When mowing your lawn, please avoid blowing grass clippings into the street. Rain washes them into catch basins where they can cause blockages, reducing drainage and increasing the risk of localized flooding.

You can also help by taking a few minutes to clear leaves, grass, and debris from the catch basin near your property before a rain event. A clear catch basin helps water drain properly and keeps our roads and neighbourhoods safer.
