Residents are invited to attend the Loyalist flag-raising ceremony on Wednesday, May 13 at 5:15 p.m. at Victoria Hall. The event is open to the public, and all residents are welcome.

Loyalist Day, observed annually on May 18, recognizes the arrival of the United Empire Loyalists who began settling in what is now New Brunswick in 1783 following the American War of Independence. Celebrated for nearly two centuries, the day honours the province’s early history and heritage. -mk
